Blog Entry#4: AI or A Crazy

We have had AI for many of years now. One very popular one being Siri. iPhone users now her very well and of course those android users know her too. Siri wasn't really talked about as an artificial inelegance, it seems like the term AI wasn't used as much then as it's used in todays times. Siri can respond to questions, even sometimes shell make a joke. Not saying they're the best jokes but cmon it's a robot talking to you.

Now over the years many new types of AI has been created. For example "Alexa", she was created through Amazon. Now Amazon is just an online shopping sight that for some odd reason created Alexa, probably just trying to 1 up Siri. 





Have you every actually wondered how far AI could actually go? Snapchat has it own personal AI that can chat with its users. It will play games like truth or dare even. What's stopping those really really smart people from putting whatever little computer or chip inside a robot body and letting it roam free? Now I may not be the best at making friends but u definitely don't think I need a robot friend that's all artificial intelligence.

    I really enjoyed your blog on AI. I think this was a great topic choice since we are all familiar with AI technology. I never even thought about Siri and how much just that itself can do. Are you worried for the future with AI? Or do you think this can be beneficial?

    Hi Alyssa, you picked a good topic I am so intrigued on everything AI after watching the movie "I, Robot". That movie scares me a little to think about the future with AI. You should watch it if you like suspenseful movies. What do you think AI will be like 5 years from now?

    Thinking about AI has made a part of me fear for what's to come. In my opinion, AI is beneficial especially temporarily but can easily be used against us not only through academia but as deception. These propositions are becoming more apparent everyday, for example, deep fake photos/videos, news, and plagiarism. Those are what bug me whenever I ponder about AI.

The app TikTok has become so popular with the younger generation, Gen Z to be exact. It seems that everyone has this ad wether they post on it or just watch other people's video's. Some people even make money from this app when they post their content.       Although the app has a lot of younger adults using it, there are plenty older and middle aged adults on the app as well. Some may think this app is very useless but I think it depends on how you use it. You can use it to find fun recipes and dinner ideas, even Amazon finds. Then there's some people who just lay in bed endlessly scrolling, that might know be very beneficial...      TikTok isn't a bad thing unless you make it a bad thing!

Blog entry #7: Fresh

 After watching Fresh it made me think of the types of foods I eat and how they are made. I think the purpose of this film is to make people aware of the food they're buying and the thing the farmers may go through. The audience I believe is towards all food buying customers in the United States. The tone is kind of modern, not everyone is being serious in the film they are just living their everyday life. I was surprised that they gave away worms, I would think you'd want some of them or would want to at least make a profit on them. This film kind of grossed me out because I'm not a fan of the whole process of actually getting the foods and the way they get the meat. I think this film is educating and everyone who buys these products should be educated on them. This film defiantly matters, It gives the perspective of the farmers them selfs which seems like the best people to get information from. It's probably simpler as Americans to not know the issues of what we eat

Blog Entry #6: Social media! More like Bad idea

 Social Media is such a big thing in today's world. Almost all of the celebs have it, it's what keeps people looking at them. Although celebrities have social media, so do your ordinary people. From young teens the middle aged Facebook moms    The thing about social media is that it makes you vulnerable. You are showing all of these people what your life is like, where you go, and even what your home may look like. Many people who have social media, Instagram for an example lets you follow people who may be mutuals with your friends. Even though your friends  may know that person, you don't. So many people follow others who they don't actually know.  This can result in stalking, even bullying.  Would we be happier without it???
