Blog Entry #8: TiKTok

The app TikTok has become so popular with the younger generation, Gen Z to be exact. It seems that everyone has this ad wether they post on it or just watch other people's video's. Some people even make money from this app when they post their content. 


    Although the app has a lot of younger adults using it, there are plenty older and middle aged adults on the app as well. Some may think this app is very useless but I think it depends on how you use it. You can use it to find fun recipes and dinner ideas, even Amazon finds. Then there's some people who just lay in bed endlessly scrolling, that might know be very beneficial... 

    TikTok isn't a bad thing unless you make it a bad thing!

    I will agree with you that TikTok is a very popular app, and almost everyone has the TikTok app on their phone, myself included. I have used TikTok to my own benefit, and have my own personal experience with making money from, so it is possible! In what ways do you like to use TikTok for? Are you a content consumer or creator?

    I think Tiktok can be bad in a sense where people are mean to each other and might take a lot of time from peoples' days, but it has good things to it. Sometimes I see people helping others and raising awareness or money for people in need and it's very nice to see. It has good and bad sides.

    This is a vital topic to go over. I like how you initially explain what tic-tok is and what age it typically targets. You have a good argument that tick-tock is only "bad" if you make it, but as a reader, I am left "asking why is tik-tok bad?". Adding a bit more information on your argument would go a long way for this blog. I also noticed there are no pictures; pictures help the reader stay more engaged. It is fascinating that the tik-toc app has changed people's lives by providing a steady income.

 After watching Fresh it made me think of the types of foods I eat and how they are made. I think the purpose of this film is to make people aware of the food they're buying and the thing the farmers may go through. The audience I believe is towards all food buying customers in the United States. The tone is kind of modern, not everyone is being serious in the film they are just living their everyday life. I was surprised that they gave away worms, I would think you'd want some of them or would want to at least make a profit on them. This film kind of grossed me out because I'm not a fan of the whole process of actually getting the foods and the way they get the meat. I think this film is educating and everyone who buys these products should be educated on them. This film defiantly matters, It gives the perspective of the farmers them selfs which seems like the best people to get information from. It's probably simpler as Americans to not know the issues of what we eat

Blog Entry #6: Social media! More like Bad idea

 Social Media is such a big thing in today's world. Almost all of the celebs have it, it's what keeps people looking at them. Although celebrities have social media, so do your ordinary people. From young teens the middle aged Facebook moms    The thing about social media is that it makes you vulnerable. You are showing all of these people what your life is like, where you go, and even what your home may look like. Many people who have social media, Instagram for an example lets you follow people who may be mutuals with your friends. Even though your friends  may know that person, you don't. So many people follow others who they don't actually know.  This can result in stalking, even bullying.  Would we be happier without it???
